Tiny dog, big honor! Guiness names world’s smallest modeling dog
A little dog has just earned a big spot in the record books! Bebe, a 4-year-old longhair Chihuahua from New Jersey just qualified as the world’s smallest modeling dog, according to the Guiness Book of World Records.
Standing just 6.5 inches tall and weighing in at 2.5 pounds, Bebe was discovered by Guiness on her owner, Nikki Maksymovich’s popular Chihuahua blog, ObsessiveChihuahuaDisorder.com. The tiny pooch has been modeling since Maksymovich s
tarted posting photos of her dog in clothes on her blog and realized how well Bebe posed in them. As her website became more popular, Bebe started getting modeling job offers.
NJ.com reported on the tiny record holder’s discovery by Guiness:
“They contacted Nikki through her website and said that they were thinking about doing it,” Jayson Maksymovich said. “They asked her to send in pictures of us holding up tape measures so they could get how tall and long (Bebe) was.”

Mrs. Maksymovich described Bebe’s signature modeling pose:

She said Bebe makes her signature look by facing away from the photographer and then looking back over her shoulder. The pup has also participated in various runway shows in New York City and has traveled to dog conventions across the U.S.
Bebe won the honor of world’s smallest modeling dog. Other notable tiny dogs include a female Chihuahua called Boo Boo, smallest dog living, a long-haired Chihuahua, who measured 4 inches tall and is owned by Lana Elswick of Raceland, Kentucky. The Guiness World Record for smallest working dog is held by Momo, a 7 year old Chihuahua who weighs 6.6 pounds. Mom has been incorporated into the Japanese police force to help with search and rescue, given her small size and ability to get into smaller places.
